Features
Lexware Office (formerly lexoffice) is the German cloud accounting software for freelancers and small businesses. It covers document capture, e-invoicing, online banking, a GoBD-compliant archive, and from the L plan full accounting with a VAT advance return and income surplus account.
Since 1 January 2025 all German businesses must be able to receive e-invoices; the S plan at 7.90 EUR covers exactly this minimum requirement. Payroll is an optional add-on for any plan.

The payroll add-on starts at €12.90 ex VAT; the €25.90 (3-5 staff), €39.90 (6-10), and €65.90 (11-20) steps come from the version-comparison PDF and are not on the pricing page, which only offers a selector up to 50 employees. At the 26 August 2026 check a promotion cut prices by 50 percent for three months: S €3.95, M €6.45, L €10.95, and XL €16.45; list prices apply afterwards.
