AnythingLLM by Mintplex Labs combines chat, your own documents and AI agents in one app. Per the vendor, the app reads and searches local files without you having to drag them in. You install it from a single file, with no terminal and no account.
The desktop app is free. Per the privacy policy, it sends anonymous usage data but no chats or documents; you can switch this off in the settings. A separate cloud offer for teams is not compared here.
