Claude Code is an Anthropic tool for agentic software work in the terminal and supported development environments. It is included in Claude Pro and Max, not sold as a standalone Code tariff.
Pro is $17 annual or $20 monthly; Max starts at $100 with 5x or 20x Pro usage. Console/API is billed by usage, and Code shares limits with chat.
Redesigned Projects are in beta in Claude Code: a coordinator chat plus parallel cloud threads, each on its own branch. Access starts with select Pro and Max users on cloud sessions. No new seat price. Existing plan limits apply.
From Claude Code 2.1.280, Pro and Team Standard default to Opus, and the default Opus is Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5), matching Max, Team Premium and Enterprise. /model still switches. Seat prices stay unchanged.
