Vibe coding means building software by telling the AI in plain language what you want and barely reading the generated code yourself.
Example
You describe a small club website, the AI builds it, and you only test whether everything works.
For pros
The term was coined by Andrej Karpathy in early 2025. It is fast for prototypes but risky for production software: security holes, privacy mistakes and hard-to-maintain code easily go unnoticed. Serious projects need tests, code review and clear rules (for example AGENTS.md).
