## What it does
- Enlarge photos for crops and print
- Reconstruct image detail and faces with AI
- Desktop app for Mac and Windows
- Local and cloud rendering in the current subscription

## In brief
Topaz Gigapixel enlarges and reconstructs photos for tighter crops or print layouts. The Mac and Windows desktop app offers local rendering and cloud processing; the vendor says image files stay on your own computer during local processing.

Personal costs USD 149 with annual payment. Alternatives are USD 19 monthly with an annual commitment or USD 29 monthly without one. Organisation size and revenue also affect licence eligibility; the Pro licence costs USD 499 annually.

## Limits
The former $99 perpetual Gigapixel AI licence was discontinued; current Topaz Gigapixel is subscription-only with three payment options: $149 annually (shown as $12/month), $19/month on a 12-month commitment, or $29/month without commitment. With an active subscription, image processing has no token or credit limit locally or in the cloud, so practical capacity is constrained by hardware and queue time. Personal allows 2 concurrent cloud image renders and is intended only for users and organisations below $1M annual revenue; Pro is required above that threshold. Gigapixel is also part of the Topaz Studio bundle at $399/year or $69/month.
