- Full Copilot access for enterprise licenses
- Full Copilot access for SMB, up to 300 users
- Web-based chat without access to personal files
- Microsoft's AI assistant integrated into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

## In brief
The $30 full tier requires a separate qualifying Microsoft 365 license on top, and no trial is available. Cancelling deletes all associated data. Users on the free Copilot Chat tier can build custom agents but pay metered usage charges for them, while full-license users get unlimited custom-agent access.

## Limits
Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is included free with qualifying E3/E5/Business licenses (web-based, no access to personal files). The full Copilot add-on costs $30/user/month (Enterprise, annual) or $18/user/month (Business, promo through December 2026, regularly $21). The former standalone consumer tier Copilot Pro was discontinued October 1, 2025 and folded into Microsoft 365 Premium (~$19.99/month). Listed separately from GitHub Copilot (coding) and Power BI Copilot (BI). New Microsoft 365 Copilot Business purchases turn usage-based billing on by default: 2026-10-19 for direct purchases on the web or in the admin center, and 2026-12-01 through CSP. The default spending policy is 4000 Copilot Credits per user per month and charges only when eligible usage-based experiences are used. Existing Business benefits and payment terms stay, and an existing spending policy stays. Buying a new Business seat in an existing tenant turns usage-based billing on for that tenant's Microsoft 365 Copilot subscriptions. Not available at first in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. The seat price is separate. These pages do not state a USD price per credit.
